Revolutionary 3D printed basketball prosthetic helps young amputee

The 3D Print Club 3D4E from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) created a prosthetic hand with their ZEUS 3D Printer to help young amputee Logan play basketball.

The following two pictures describe the development from prototype to the final prosthetic hand. Dribbling test and design adjustments helped optimizing the prosthetic hand for basketball. The prosthetic hand has three fingers. The tips are equipped with rubber to grip onto the ball.
